Fantasy, nostalgia are guiding principles which shape and unify Dylan’s signature storytelling style. Exploring themes of Kinship, love and pleasure as aesthetic principles, Dylan aims to showcase the duality of these brighter emotions with deeper narratives of Grief and discomfort juxtaposed within the work.
Dylan Mitro is an Independent Filmmaker / Photographer currently based in Toronto, Canada.

Dylan has collaborated with artists such as Hubert Lenoir, Babygirl, Spencer Badu, Quarterback Baby, The Zolas, Valley, Ruby Waters, Fleece, Hubert Lenoir, Amaal and many more.
Dylan’s short films have screened at BFI Flare, Inside Out, Frameline Film Festival, Tiff: Next Wave and many more. Supported by the Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council and Canada Arts Council.
